Things are going to happen. People make mistakes, get sick, and have emotions. Just about everything can be worked out through positive attitudes and good communication. If we can’t figure it out, we will find someone who can help. You have my contact information….use it please.

- Respect yourself and others. You are no longer a child, and there is a level of maturity expected when you are with me. Maturity does not mean age. It is sensitivity, manners and how you react. I cannot and will not tolerate mean, offensive, and rude behavior. This includes anything you say, do or write. You were created for greatness…I want to see it and celebrate that with you!
- Be punctual & prepared. Please bring the materials you need and be on time. Be ready to learn, create and share ideas with your classmates. We have much to do and time is too precious to waste!
- Housekeeping….. Clean up after yourself. Take care of your things. You are a big kid now.
- Don’t take anything from the classroom or kitchen lab without permission from Ms. Walker.
- Only water is allowed in a clear container daily. Foods prepared during lab will be finished in class and not taken into the hallways.
- Cell phones are not allowed during the class period. Please place your device in the appropriate basket. Laptops are tools, not toys.

20% daily grades
Late-Work Policy
All assigned work is required to be turned in at the specified time to earn full credit. If work is not submitted on the assigned due date, the student will be required to attend Academic Academy after school, from 3:30- 4:00 pm, the following day.
Any work turned in after the assigned date/time will be penalized 10 points per day. After the third school day the highest grade earned will be 70. Extenuating circumstances will be reviewed and assessed by the teacher.
